Lisa Katz is both a skilled negotiator and a strong advocate.

Lisa was called to the Ontario Bar in 2007, after articling at a full service mid-sized law firm in downtown Toronto.

She obtained her LL.B. from Queen’s University, Faculty of Law in 2006.

Lisa has practiced exclusively family law since 2008.

She regularly appears in all levels of court, including the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, representing clients at conferences, motions and at trial.

Lisa has also successfully handled an appeal at the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

While Lisa is a zealous advocate for her clients in court, she recognizes the benefits of alternative dispute resolution processes.

As such, she frequently represents clients during mediation and/or arbitration.

Lisa also has extensive experience negotiating and drafting domestic contracts, including cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts and separation agreements.

She recognizes the importance of making sure that her clients understand the legal process and have a voice in the outcome.

Prior to establishing DKGC LLP, Lisa practiced at a family law firm in midtown Toronto and at a prominent family law firm in the Region of Peel.

Lisa has also been legal counsel for the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto.
